The treatment of penile cancer depends on the rate at which the cancer has spread and the area which it is affected. Usually the treatment involves a laser surgery or using chemotherapy cream to remove the affected skin cells.

The treatment options for later-stage penile cancer are:

  • Surgery: to remove cancerous cells and surrounding tissue.
  • Chemotherapy or Radiotherapy: to make your body get rid of cancerous cells

The physical changes that occurred in the penis after the surgery can be corrected with reconstructive surgery. This surgical method makes use of skin and muscles from other part of the body to recreate a functioning penis.
